Young Survival Coalition
October is breast cancer awareness month, a cause that is important to most of us whether through personal struggles or those of family or friends. Our team is proud to align with the Young Survival Coalition, which focuses efforts on younger women who are diagnosed with breast cancer.
This month, not only are we donating $20 from every Together watch sold (per usual), but we’ll also be donating 25% of the sales of all our pink products (pink face, dark pink strap and light pink strap). We’re hoping to raise over $1,000 for the organization. More than that, we’re excited to introduce you to the YSC’s work.
Below is a little more information about the organization
Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the premier global organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. YSC offers resources, connections and outreach so women feel supported, empowered and hopeful. Through action, advocacy and awareness, YSC seeks to educate and influence the medical, research, breast cancer and legislative communities to address breast cancer in young women, and to ensure that no young woman is left to face breast cancer alone. For more information visit youngsurvival.org.
One unique part of YSC is their “Tour de Pink“. This is a multi-city bike event that, well, looks amazing. Here’s a bit more information
Join the most powerful community fighting breast cancer in young women. YSC Tour de Pink is your chance to raise funds to ensure no woman diagnosed under 40 faces breast cancer alone. Whether you ride one mile or hundreds, from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C., to the shores of the Pacific or in between, there’s a place for you in our circle. [bold added]
Wherever you live in the U.S. or however you ride, there’s a YSC Tour de Pink for you! The money we raise will help YSC provide resources, connection, and outreach so women feel supported, empowered and hopeful. You’ll be a part of the largest effort in the country dedicated exclusively to the needs of young breast cancer survivors. With every mile you ride, you help YSC expand our circle of support to the thousands of women who need us.
Finally, in case you missed it, here’s a rollcall for our other partner organizations since we started the “Together” non-profit partnership program. Please take the time to learn about each of them
