Modify named to Top-100 Startups List, Invited to the White House!
On November 17, 2011 Modify was invited to a White House ceremony honoring the top-100 young startups in the U.S. We were named part of the Empact 100 list, which “recognizes the top 100 companies run by young entrepreneurs age 30 or younger who impact our economy and inspire others to join the movement to revitalize our economy by starting a business of their own.” You can see video of the whole event here.
When we found out about the event, my first question was, “define young”. Turns out the restriction was having founders under-30. We made it (barely. But of course a gentleman never reveals his age).
We were there as part of a few different groups, all of which are pretty amazing resources for entrepreneurs

We then moved to the White House for the event described above. A few photos from that event
Then we ended at the Newseum, which is listed as D.C.’s “Most Interactive museum”. I didn’t know that was part of the rating structure, but congrats anyway! Aside from eating lots of chocolate and drinking seltzer water, we also had the opportunity to share a message with the world, thanks to Robert Fogarty and his *amazing* Dear World project (seriously, click the link and check it out).
