Juice in the City Custom Watches (or, 2 men in a sea of women). Part 1: Getting Ready
When I first met Sarah Eisner from Juice in the City in April, we discussed customizing watches for JITC. After working on a few special watch offers that were released in cities across the U.S., we finally had the opportunity to design a custom watch for them as their gift to the attendees of the Clever Girls Collective‘s VIP party during BlogHer.
Ashil, Sarah and Sarah’s team worked on a lot of designs before we all agreed on a minimalist design in colors that Modify Watches had yet to create.

We added the metallic finish, which you can see on some of our other dope watches (silver, black, brown) and created custom watch sets featuring a light gray (grey?) strap and a candy pink strap.
The fun part was the VIP party was in San Diego. So the Modify Watches team spent 2 full-days packaging the product, and then Sean-the-intern and I flew there to hand-deliver the watches and act as booth babes.
Whenever we have a major packaging event, everyone joins me at my house so we can at least be comfortable. Here are a few pictures of the packaging party… my next post will be about the party itself
