Amy Lau says goodbye. Tears are shed :(
Editor’s note: this is the farewell blog from Amy Lau. She does a GREAT job of kissing up. We have no doubt she’s going to crush it in college and on her path to being the world’s greatest nurse
They say you never forget your first job. The team has made it impossible for that to happen because I absolutely loved working for Modify!!
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone on the team for making my first ever work experience super cool and fun. I cannot express through words exactly how much fun I had here, so I will put it simply: be jealous. The people of Modify are the ABSOLUTE best people and the work environment is literally top notch. I struck gold with this internship.
Aaron is the most fantabulous (a combination of fantastic and fabulous) CEO ever. He is such a hardworking man (as is everyone else!!) and trust me when I say this, his goal is to make you all happy as customers and as part of the Modifamily Our watches are pretty darn awesome already, but the team is trying their best to make it even better, so y’all be prepared to be amazed!
Everyone at Modify made my last summer as an adolescent awesome. I celebrated my 18th birthday with the team, so they literally saw me magically transform into an adult. As a novice adult, I know next to nothing about the real world, but the team taught me so much this summer. They taught me about the business industry and about life itself. Every time I had a question, there was always someone who could answer it, and now I suppose you could say that I am marginally less terrified of the real world. Again, I would like to thank everyone on the team for being such great role models for me and I would also like to thank New Door for giving me the opportunity to work with Modify.
But wait! There’s more! Sorry, you thought this was over but I would like to thank a few more people. There’s not too many so please bear with me
Thank you Drew for playing it cool when the wind blew a little something onto you during the sailing trip. Thank you Kevin for all the cool stories you shared. Thank you Ashil for all the smiles and energy. I am NOT going to thank Dan for leaving so early (but you planned to leave already so I forgive you). Thank you David for all those stories about food and for helping me with the sports teams when I was struggling. Thank you Aaron for teaching me so much about the behind the scenes of a business and for all that you’ve done for me this summer, and lastly, thank you Jae for all the fun stories we shared and for being the best supervisor I have ever had!
This summer was the best I have ever had, and thank you again for treating me so well! But it is time to say goodbye, so… Goodbye:’(
#ModLife Custom Watches for everyone.
